Tak tedy PRVNÍ PŘÍSPĚVEK!
Už
delší dobu jsem si chtěl to blogerství vyzkoušet...no,tak jsem se k tomu
konečně dokopal.Jelikož s tím nemám žádné zkušenosti bude to ze startu
asi trochu divočina a zmatek(a dost možná to tak i do budoucna
zůstane:-) ),uvidím/te...

bude věnován Římskému vojenství-přesněji řečeno pozdně římskému a raně
Byzantskému(ač se podle mě jedná o totéž.O kontroverznosti mnou
neoblíbeného termínu "Byzanc" tu jistě také ještě něco napíši.) a to
zhruba v rozmezí let 250-650,přičemž občasné exkurzy před a za tuto
hranici nevylučuji.
Za
jméno svého blogu jsem si vypůjčil název jedné z největších klasik
pozdně antických vojenských příruček, dost možná sepsané koncem šestého
století císařem Mauriciem,který měl sám za sebou úspěšnou vojenskou
kariéru,před tím než dosedl na římský trůn v Konstantinopoli.

So this is my FIRST POST!
For some time I wanted to try this so called blogging on my own...so finally here I am.Because I'm not having any previous experience in this you might find this little bit wilderness like and chaotic(and maybe even in the future it will remain preserved that way :-) ),I/you will see...
This blog will be dedicated to Roman warfare-more precisely to late roman and early Byzantine(though its one and the same for me.About the controversy about this with me unpopular term "Byzantium",for sure i'll write something yet.) in a period of aproximatelly 250-650 A.D.,with occasional excursions before and after this time frame are possible.
For the name of my blog I borrowed the title of one of the greatest classics of late antique military manuals, perhaps written at the end of the sixth century by emperor Mauricius,who had himself a successful military career,before he sat on the roman throne in Constantinople.
